REGION: Gatineau West
DESCRIPTION | The Adirondack Branch of the Delaware & Hudson Railroad depicts the traffic patterns of a branch line in the state of New York from Saratoga to Sanford Lake. The 221 foot (67 m) mainline links three modelled towns. The layout has a consistent high degree of finish with the scenery, structures, motive power and rolling stock placing the viewer into the time and place depicted. The owner especially emphasizes realistic railroad operations - modelling a balanced flow of traffic, scheduling trains, etc. Be sure to pay attention to the train schedules and supporting documentation during your visit. This layout was the cover feature in the September 2004 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman. |
