The cost to see only the portable and modular layouts set up at St. Anthony’s Banquet Hall  is $5; children under 16 are still free.

PLEASE NOTE:  The planned closure of the Queensway between Bronson and Carling Avenues this weekend, will not affect access to St. Anthony’s Banquet Hall or travel to the various layouts during the Capital Region Model Railway Tour, which ends at 5 pm Saturday.  (Lane reductions will start on Saturday at 5 pm, followed by the full closure at 6 pm.  Full details are posted on the City of Ottawa website)

We’ve opened a pre-registration page to help you get through registration more quickly on the day of the Tour.

The Tour has 29 layouts confirmed for October 19, located throughout Ottawa and Gatineau.  To help you plan your day and to find the model railways that most interest you, we’ve added listings that organize the layouts by region.

We also have received confirmations from 7 modular and portable layouts for the Aylmer Model Train Show on October 5 and 6.  This event will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday at the Galeries Aylmer shopping centre in the Aylmer sector of Gatineau. The layouts on display are exceptionally varied in style, construction and model scale.  Admission to this family-friendly event is free.

The Capital Region Model Railway Tour will have a registration table set up at Galeries Aylmer during the train show.   There you will be able to register and pay for the October 19 Tour, and receive your Tour pass and copy of the Tour guidebook.  With advance registration there’s no need to go to St. Anthony’s Banquet Hall on the 19th, just go straight to the first layout you wish to see!
