| DESCRIP- TION | Alisten Lea Junction is a fictitious British location on the London North Eastern Region railway. The era modelled is the 1940s and 1960s. The station is served by a London Transport tramline, which transports vacationers to a small park at the end of the tramline where train spotters can get a good look at passing trains. Passenger expresses, pulled by Gresley A4 steam locomotives, as well as Deltic and Class 47 diesels, are frequently seen. Coal, oil and mixed goods trains transport their loads between a main yard area and the branchline stations. The Junction provides a gateway to the terminal station Thomlyn Dunes, where passengers can change to Diesel Multiple Units heading further North on a single track route to Sleights and a branchline terminus at the village of Guisborough in North Yorkshire. |
